   how would I get the thumbnail image from a image in the category page instead of the post or if you know how to alter the code to get embed thumbnails from video sites like veoh and such it would be nice as well.

   so anyone know how to switch the ImageExtractor coding from that plugin to grab images from the category page instead of using post_content that grabs it from the post?

   No, sorry, I don't know how to accomplish this. It works on posts only.
