• I am setting up a website for a client using WordPress. He wants to make changes to the text and photos of his website himself. I’ve read through the installation instructions but it’s not clear to me if my client needs anything installed on his computer or if he can just modify the website via his browser with no WordPress installation.

If he does need to install WordPress in some way, what are the minimum requirements for his computer, considering he will only make changes to the web page contents but will not manage the structure of the site.

    Thanks!

  • If the intent is to allow home to create and/or modify posts and Pages he really just needs a modern web browser.

Since this will be his business website, he wants to modify the page text and change the photos. He’s not using it as a blog but as a typical website. Are these the types of “posts” you mentioned? If so, that will be great! His computer is an older Mac that has Mac OS 10.3 or 10.4 installed. He uses Firefox as his browser. Sounds like it will work, right?

Sounds like it should work just fine. WordPress supports both posts and Pages and can be used as a CMS (content management system) as well.
