Moving to new server (Having Issues)

Greetings. I am moving my blog over to a new server soon. Before I risk messing stuff up though I’ve created a testbed on my home machine. I’ve done a database dump off my current site using PhpMyAdmin and tried restoring my database in the testbed.

Unfortunately when I open up WordPress I get a message that says “looks like WordPress hasn’t been installed”. It then takes me through the installation procedure. Upon completion it just looks like a fresh install. None of my posts are there.

There’s got to be a way of doing this. Any suggestions?

BTW. The “One Click Backup” script doesn’t work for me. It just says “Success. Backup is complete” and then offers a link to download the file. Unfortunately no file was ever created to download…
