[Plugin: Admin Favicon] Admin-Favicon didn't work for me (4 posts)

I installed this plug in, but when I saved the URL of my favicon file (www.MYURL.com/favicon.ico), the favicon only shows up within the admin area of Wordpress.org. When I (or anyone else) visits my blog, they do not see the favicon.

    Any ideas?

Had the same issue, but setting the link to my theme folder did the trick. Like http://www.mydomain.com/wp-content/themes/mytheme/favicon.ico :)

Admin Favicon is designed to show the favicon in the ADMIN area of your blog. It doesn't interact with your theme at all. It's just to make finding your admin page in your open tabs easier. But as object81 pointed out if you drop your favicon into your theme folder WordPress picks it up for your theme.

You don't need a plug-in for this. See my free video lesson on how to do this for both Blogs and Websites. Your Favicon will show up everywhere. [spam link moderated]
