[resolved] Category assistance - I don't want one to show up in posts (2 posts)

    I want to have a category not show up in posts but have the published status. This way I can pick it up in "featured posts" but not have it also appear in normal posts.

    Is there an edit to categories.php that would accomplish this?

    Advanced Category Excluder did the job.
