    Hello all-
I'm hoping to set up my blog so I can write articles and post them, but also send out a version of that article through an email list. Is there a way to basically copy exactly what WordPress is showing (as far as content) and send that out to my email list? Or do I have to create the article on WordPress and then create another version of it in a separate eblast? I'm thinking of purchasing the premium features of WordPress and fully customizing the look and some of the functionality. Thanks! Any insight would help immeasurably.

It wouldn't be that hard to extract post content and send it as an email, but this isn't out-of-the-box functionality. A fair number of web hosts forbid mass emailing though.

Lorelle has a great article on the many options and some available plugins here: http://lorelle.wordpress.com/2007/02/16/subscribe-email-mailing-list-blog-update-alerts-and-newsletter-wordpress-plugins/

You could also use FeedBurner's Email Delivery feature: http://feedburner.google.com/. Basically, people would subscribe and receive your new post. Won't allow you to import an existing list though.

Finally, if you use an external mailing list service, check to see if they support RSS. Many of them do.
