Accented Characters disapeared after importing entries from MT

Hi,

I am trying to switch from MT to WP, but WP seem to have ignored all the accented characters of my post during the import and thus all my posts became un-understandable…
Same thing when I am trying to directly type a post in WP, I can’t figure how to have accented characters in my posts’ titles.

I am using a Macintosh QWERTY keyboard to type in french thus doing alt+accent+letter to type accented characters.

Any idea what I should do to fix this ?
