I just installed twitter flash widget from twitter.com. Is this safer and better to use than a twitter plugin? There are so many twitter plugins I do not know which one to test. avclubhouse.com

I had a Twitter plugin installed, but it wasnt functioning properly, so I just copied and pasted the official Twitter flash widget code in the plugin editor... and now the official Twitter flash plugin loads at teh top left of the site, both in normal and admin areas... basically, it is a fixed object everywhere on my site... not what I had in mind!

Any clue how to uninstall or correct this issue? I want it in the sidebar, where the old widget was... but now there is no way to re-edit from the plugin section... it disappeared...

Instead of using the plugin editor, under the widgets section, I added a text box, then pasted the code from the official twitter into the text box and voila! It works perfectly!

I wish this was a simple process. I have been trying to add the Twitter widget to my side bar. Every time I attempt a save the bulk of the code vanishes and all I am left with is the link to my Twitter home. Am I missing something here?

At this point you would expect this to be a friendly procedure. Is this an issue with my theme?

    Hello,

thought I'd let everyone know i followed "lysistarielle's" directions and then scaled the twitter widget down to a width of "250" in the code in the text box AND WALLA! good stuff!
