    Hi

If anyone can help me (or point me in the right direction), it would be most appreciated.

I am fairly new to the Wordpress environment, but do understand the very basics. What I need to establish is the following:

I have a completed turnkey blog solution for potential online customers, who have purchased the packages, however some are not too technically minded and the process of installation can create problems for the clients.

Is it possible, or is there existing software that can create the database, then update the config file (which is already in the mentioned package) and then upload the contents to the hosting account. With as little user input as possible.

Essentially I suppose I am looking for such a program or programmer that can provide such a solution, and I would like to know if it is possible or where could I research this further.

    Thanks
    Andre

Forgot to mention, the program should also run a SQL file once the database has been established, and prior to the uploading.

If you haven't already looked into it, you may want to check out WordPress Multi User. See here: http://mu.wordpress.org/

    Hi Figaro

Thank you for the link, it appears that there is a lot of info there, however would this not pertain to a person with many blogs. I am looking for a solution that will enable the customer to perform such actions as mentioned above, as they will be in control of their blog once they purchase it. Perhaps I am missing the category that deals with this.

I'm assuming you're the host? If so, then you could either do separate WP installs for your customers or manage a WPMU site...with a lot of blogs that is much easier.

If you are not the host and are looking at selling them "turn key" blogs, then they already have that with just about any hosting account through an auto-installer like fantastico. You could lease a dedicated server, get Web Host Manager (WHM) installed on it (there is a cost for WHM) and do essentially the same thing...sell accounts with the fantastico auto-installer...but this is not for the tech novice.

I don't know of another way to package WordPress where it will just install itself without packaging it in something like XAMPP.

    thanks figaro

I fall into between the tech novice and less category.

Thanks for your help and suggestions.
