Can't see my prevoius post, so just to ease my mind, and curiosity, I'll post it here so I can follow the thread.
I´m running WP 2.7.1 and Scissors 0.98.
Works great. :-)
You stated that watermarking now works.
I can't find it anywhere.
I checked you previews, but I can't see thos settings for watermarking.
Any suggestions on how to find it?
Sincerly

Go to Settings -> Media and configure watermarking there. I'll probably do a screencast explaining all Scissors features when we hit version 1.0 (cropping/resizing/watermarking feature-completeness).

Aha.
Now I found it. :-)
Thanks for the quick reply.
What if I only want to watermark some pictures and not all?
Would that be possible to do?
Awesome plugin. :-)

Manual watermarking is something I'm working on and already partially available in the development version of the plugin, i.e. it allows you to remove and re-add watermarks to images (but only if automatic watermarking is enabled, which is something I'm trying to get rid of).
Anyway, I'm glad you like the plugin! :)

P.S. Your nickname implies that you're into raytracing ... Do you know ompf.org (THE rt community)?

Great to here you´re working on it. :-)
Hmm. There´s an error in the plugin.
I´m trying to add a watermark image, but following the instructions only leads to a javascript error. States that scissors2 is undefined.
The image doesn't get added. Tried pasting the URI to the watermark image, but that doesn't add the image to uploaded pictures, though according to the settings ist should.
Well. I'm mostly into raytracing in LightWave. I´m not much of a programmer, but thanks for the link.

Okay, that's fixed in the development version (listed under 'other versions'). It was Internet Explorer only and slipped through my radar ... sorry for that. Just a superfluous comma in the code, bah.

Aaaarh. I feel you. Sometimes I go a bit nuts, and after a while bug seraching I found all that was missing was a little comma... :D
I tested the development version.
I tried it on IE7, FF 3.0.6.
Both of them now adds the path to the image correctly and doesn't hang with a js error.
Also now the button Watermarks comes up where it should apear when trying to insert the watermark.
But, when trying to Add watermark, I get an error statin "Error: Could not load image"
Same error in both IE7 and FF.
The path to the image is set to: wp-content/uploads/mark.png
Almost there. :)
Have a great weekend.
Cheers

Aaah. Seems like sciccors watermarking doesn't like my gif files. The jpg files work like a charm. My bad.

I've installed the plugin and modified the settings to include my watermark file. When I insert an image into my post, I lick the watermark button and see a status bar fill up. When I insert the image into the post, there's no watermark, and when I publish the post, there's no watermark. Am I missing something? I even changed my watermark image from png to jpg with no luck. Thanks for the help.

Mr. Incredible (cool name btw) I have the same problem. I am having no problem with the cropping feature of Scissors (which I really like, being able to crop on the fly) but I cannot seem to get the watermark feature to work. I uploaded the image I want to use as my watermark, and I thought I had doen everything correctly. I select watermark when I am posting, but alas it does not work. Stephan, do you have any ideas. My blog is http://www.thedoodledaily.com it's new so, i'm still working out the kinks and I would love to get this function to work.
Any advice, help and comments would be most welcome.

I am in the same boat. I cannot get a .gif or .png or .jpg for that matter to work as my auto watermark. Any word yet?

I was able to get a .jpg to work. but I wanted something with a transparent background so I tried saving the image as a .gif, but it does not show up as the watermark. Si I took them off. Still waiting to hear from someone that knows the plugin.
