How to get Google to drop cached pages?

    This is way off topic, but I’ve googled and can’t find an answer and hope someone has some experience with this.

    I’m curious about how Google will cache a page so that even if a site goes down, the page is still available. How can a page like that be cleared from Google’s cache?
