   Whenever I add a URL for a local avatar and click "Update", I get this error:

   Forbidden

   You don't have permission to access /articles/wp-admin/users.php on this server.

   Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

   Any ideas what's going wrong?

   Sorry no - it sounds like your WP installation may be broken.
