    Hi all,

    I set up WordPress to support our school Web site (www.limavadyhigh.co.uk). So far it’s users have been very pleased with the simple design and interface. On Friday I experienced some problems. On my eMac, black diamonds with question marks (I believe they’re called Guillemets) appear on some posts – where spaces should be. On Windows IE it’s just question marks. Prior to this I was getting strange symbols and had to remove 2 lines from our WP-CONFIG file (see below).

    define(‘DB_CHARSET’, ‘utf8’);
    define(‘DB_COLLATE’, ”);

    All of this is very odd and I have limited knowledge of Web design.

    Would you have any ideas on how to fix this problem? I’ve inputed posts via the Rich Text Editor and NotePad area but the problem still persists. We’ve got <meta http-equiv=”Content-Type” content=”text/html; charset=utf-8″ /> in the header so in theory things should be working fine.

    Thanks,

    Chris
