[resolved] [Plugin: eShop] moving 'add to cart' form & shipping address problem (6 posts)

I have installed the eshop plugin on a new site that I am in the progress of building. I'm still a beginner with code, but so far it it has all been very straight forward and is definitely the best solution for wordpress I have looked at.

However there are a couple of things that have stopped me in my tracks.
The first is that when I go through a test using Paypal it transfers all the information from the order apart from an alternative shipping address. It seems that you have to enter that again in Paypal.

The second is, I use a single post template that is split into 2 columns and I want to move the add to cart form into the side column instead of it being in the main content. I can't find the code for this anywhere so any pointers would be sweet.

Thanks in advance for any help,
    KJ

The add to cart form is appended to the content, so its unlikely that you'll be able to move that.

The details entered at paypal don't affect the details entered on your site, though I do capture the memo in case they added one in. So if the user specifies a different shipping address on your site, you'll get to see that within the admin orders pages.

Thanks for your quick reply :)

I'm going to try and get around the add to cart form thing by moving all the content where I want the form and stripping out the other information.

The other shipping issue makes sense I guess. I just hope customers don't find too confusing putting in an alternative address, going to Paypal and then not finding it there. So I'll probably look at adding a note or removing the option.

Thanks again for your help - great plugin!

this thread is from months ago!!

check the help page, you can add the addtocart via a shortcode and it'll appear where you want.
