I have downloaded a new wp site as a subdomain. Would like to link it into the page tab of the parked domain. Can this be done?

Confused by this, but I'm guessing you want an entry on your navigation bar to point to an external URL. If so use a plugin such as Page-Links-To http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/page-links-to/
