Sudden increase in spammers?

    Has anyone noticed a sudden heavy increase in spammer comments?

    I just deleted 171 that showed up today alone, from 20 oddly disparate ip addresses (from Tampa, Fl, all the way to Dubai). Has someone fired up a new botnet or something?
