• Our WP blog has been up and running for a couple of months. We recently switched servers and we are running into a problem with our vertical navigation bar. When you are on the blog table of contents the links in the nav bar direct the browser to the domain. http://blog.scottsummit.com/

When you are on the page for the individual blog posts the navigation bar links direct the browser to the ip address. http://blog.scottsummit.com/?p=73

I searched through the php files in the theme editor for the ip address and didn’t find anything. Do you have any ideas on how to change the navigation bar links from the ip address to the domain?

Any info will be appreciated! Thank you for your time.

  • Hmm, well it’s getting that value from somewhere!

What are your general admin settings (site URL etc) set to?
Any chance that value has been hardcoded in a plugin/theme? (do a search of your files)

Thank you for your response musnake.

I checked all of the php files in the /wp-content/themes/our_Template and i didn’t find the ip address. Do you have any ideas on what other folders to check?

    Thanks!

    \robots.txt
    \.htaccess
    \wp-config.php

Search for the IP in your database to see if it’s in a table somewhere.

    Delete \wp-content\uploads\js_cache\*.*

Turn Turbo/Google Gears off (although that’s local, but still) and disable any caching plugins.

Walk through the theme file to see if it’s using PHP to divine the IP from the domain for some reason…
