I use FF and have no issues. What error are you getting on FF? What version of FF are you using? What’s your OS?

Are you getting an error message? I too use FF(v2) and have never had an issue.

I’m having the same issue. I could login with FF yesterday, but not today. IE7 lets me in.

Hi guys, thanks for the interest in my issue…

    I am using Microsoft Windows…

No error messages whatsoever! Just impossible to enter my wp admin using FF…

    This is what I do:

    – Enter username.

    – Enter password.

    – Click on the login button.

    – Tries to enter wp admin, but all of a sudden it goes back to where it was; the username is still in, but the password has been erased…as if the password was incorrect (yet it isn’t; working fine using IE)!

    Very strange 🙁

    Any extra thoughts???

    Thanks for the feedback,

    Michael

I am using the latest version of FF by the way…

I’m seeing the same thing. It actually is logging me in — I can get to the admin area by clicking an edit link on a post — just not through the login page. At first glance, it seems like maybe FF is caching the wp-admin to wp-login.php redirect and replaying it but clearing the cache and cookies didn’t help.

If I click logout in the admin screen, the login will work the next time, but then it goes back to the same behavior the next time I try to log in.

    IE works fine.

    using FF 3.0.7 on Vista

    I’m getting the same problem.

I can log in normally using Safari. When I try using Firefox (latest version) however it keeps redirecting to the login screen. To get around this, after I log in, I paste this url in and then it works:

    http://www.mydomain.com/wp-admin/edit.php

…which is REALLY ANNOYING! Is there a fix for this?

i can only login through my blog http://brucemuir.com/blog and then when I get to my admin dashboard when I try to do a task like add a categorie I get “an unepected error has occured” .

This happens in safari and Firefox and I just updated to the latest wordpress

Major slowdown/freezing on Gmail & Facebook sites due to Skype/Browser Highlighter addon

Do any of you guys use the Skype addon or even Skype by itself? This addon has been causing the craziest issues and some of what you describe on any site visited thru Firefox. The redirects, unexpected error pages, connection timeouts, the list goes on and on. Anyway I thought it was worth a mention as I accidentally stumbled onto this page.

An indepth analysis of the problem Skype causes is documented here:

Hi, I had the same problem – just in FF, but was fine in IE8.
I had just installed wordpress, and could login to admin on IE8 but nothing happened after entering the usernam/password in FF.

I cleared my private data (all of it) and enabled cookies.

    Did the trick..

if you enter an incorrect pswd, you get an error and are also advised that cookies should be enabled for wordpress. IE8 seems to work fine with cookies not enabled – obviously FF does not.

    Good luck
