• hacking my way through a Kubrick modification. New to WP minimal PHP/CSS skills but learning fast.

My question; I added an image rotating header – it works so I don’t need the old color change module.

How do I shed all of the unnecessary code that generates the default header image & gradient while retaining the necessary functional aspects.

For clarity sake I want to dump the code that adds the header image and color section into the ‘Appearance sub menu’ for this theme too. I see this is contained in the functions PHP file but I am not sure what I can remove without damaging the core functions.

    Any helpful direction appreciated,

hi – i don’t know if this will help, but check this topic.

i had a custom header that wouldn’t display and was “hiding” under the gradient, but following these instructions helped.

“Replace the kubrickheader.jpg with your own image. Then go to the dashboard – design – header image & color – advanced – select default colors – update header. “

    hope it works for you!
