• I’ve used the text editor within for the about page to try to enter content, however, no matter what I type it’s not actually displayed on the site.

Is there something I need to enable to get it to work?

    Thanks in advance

  • Wait, what kind of content? If you are entering PHP then no, it won’t ever show up.

But if you are just talking about HTML, then you shouldn’t be having problems. So please more information.

Sounds like it’s because of your template. If you template isn’t set to show the “post” (the part of the page you type in WP, then you can stick stuff in there all you want and it won’t load it. You’ll have to alter your template (either with the content or the code to call the post, which currently escapes me). You should be able to easily find a page template to snag the code from, though.

ceo could you explain that further – you’re right, it probably is the theme it has a basic, and likeable design but there’s a lot lacking in the background.

All I’m doing is entering normal text just to see if it will work and nothing shows up. I copied the template from another theme, and it’s similar in several themes, but the text simply isn’t showing.

    I’m pretty stuck on this

I changed the theme to Kubrick, now as I understand the About.php will still be called regardless of the theme, as there is no about.php in Kubrick – but it works and displays the text.

Would be grateful for help on this.

I’ve fixed it – thanks anyway

Well, Jinsan, if you are still out there, what did you do?
