• Hello

I’ve just installed Akismet plugin for my website, but when I click on “Akismet Stats” under Dashboard, it says, “Blog not found, er?”.

I recently re-organised my wordpress files into one separate folder on the server via ftp, so content and wordpress files are seperate. So basically my blog url differs slightly from the wordpress url. Would this have something to do with it?

Any help would be much appreciated

    Leon

  • Hi, I’m having the exactly same issue here, any solutions? Here, i haved to hardcode de API Key, because he said that can’t connect to the Akismet server, but this message “Blog not found, er?” is from the Akismet server, not?

    Thanks

WordPress – like any other program – expects its files to be in particular folders in the structure. So you go and “move things around”, and expect it to work properly?

    Hi Saurus,

Wondering if you could elaborate more. I’ve recently moved my blog to a different domain and now akismet isn’t working correctly. I also get the same message:

    Blog not found, er?

I used this tutorial to move my blog:

    http://codex.wordpress.org/Moving_WordPress

The rest of wordpress is working fine.

    Cheers,

    Chris.

I was getting the same error after successfully moving my site from one URL to another.

I simply re-entered (pasted) my API key and clicked “update” in the Akismet configuration page and all was fixed.
