[Plugin: Akismet] Can't find "not spam" button! (5 posts)

So I'm just getting started and activated Akismet. Good news so far, since it has been finding spam and marking as such.

The problem is that there doesn't appear to be any way to mark false positives as "not spam". Various places say there is a "not spam" button, but it is not on the Comments page or from the dashboard if I click the spam queue link in the "at a glance box" where Aksimet says it has found X spam and that I can go to the spam queue to view them. This appears to just take me to the normal Comments screen with comment filtered to only show spam - still no "no spam" button.

Finally, in the documentation there is this:

"Go into your administration panel, and to the Manage > Akismet Spam page. Find the comment, and click on the Not Spam button, and the comment is spam no longer."

I can't find the "Manage" tab or menu or button or anything, much less anything called Akismet Spam. I do see the Akismet Stats menu item, but that seems less than useless since it brings up a chart that says it has found zero spam comments, even thought on the dashboard it says it has found 4.

Any help is appreciated. I hate to turn the plug-in off, but if I can't manage and mark non-spam, then it won't be at all helpful.

I have the same problem ... and while most it caught probably is spam - I'd still like to be able to check.

    Any suggestions?

When you're looking at the Comments screen, and seeing the list of Spam comments, then simply hover over the comment and click "Approve". This will mark it as not spam and put it on the page.

A lot of the wording of things changed in recent WordPress versions. Not all things are in the same place as the old documentation says they are.

In short, on the left side menu, click "Comments". Then in the top menu click "Spam". Anything that is not spam, Approve it.
