1. Install XAMPP or the like on your local computer.
2. Download the 2.0 version from http://wordpress.org/download/release-archive/ and install it.
3. Restore your database
4. Upgrade to 2.0.2
5. Install this plugin: http://beta.technosailor.com/2006/07/05/wordpress-to-wordpress-import/
6. Export to a WXR/XML file
7. Import that file into a 2.7.1 blog
I've installed this plugin but when I try to export it says "can’t open the page “feed://www.harrymok.com/blog/wp-admin/edit.php?page=wp-xmlmigrate.php” because it could not load any data from this location."
I also installed XAMPP but not sure what that is supposed to do (excuse my ingorance).
I want to export version 2.0.2 file so I can import it into 2.7.
I think my situation is different than Sreenadhx in that I'm trying to export from blog that is up and running.

Then you can skip steps 1- 4 from MichaelH's reply.
Did you install the plugin on the the 2.0.2 version blog?
Out of curiosity, what do you get if you try this link?

Yes, I installed the plugin to 2.0.2 blog. I get the error message when trying to use it.

Tried in Firefox instead of Safari (on Mac) and it worked. Thanks for you help.
