   Hi,

   The routine that checks the installation status is incorrect.

   The incorrect assumption 'wp-config.php file should exist at the root of the wp installation' is made at line 3990 of wp-spamfree.php.

   In reality the wp-config.php file can be either at the root of the wp installation, or right above it (as a security measure). (Since 2.6 if i'm not mistaken).

   Hey bluecherry. I modified this in version 1.9.8.4. It should be more compatible with the WP2.6+ features now.
