I have installed My Category Order and it is working perfectly. But I can't find any instructions anywhere that explain what the "Exclude" and "Include" options on the Widget settings do.
I'm hoping that Exclude will allow me to exclude a category from my Widget - I put the category name in there, but it doesn't seem to do anything.
Can you please provide instructions (or show me where they are, if they're already out there) of what the Exclude / Include settings are for and how to use them? Thanks!
The exclude and include options take a comma delimited list of the category IDs. If you go to the Category page in Admin and hover over a Category's link like you are about to edit it you'll see "cat_ID=##" at the end of the link URL (or click on the category and look at the URL in the address bar). The "##" is the ID you need.
Write down all the relevant IDs and put them in a list like "1,2" and put it in the widget options. With that list, Exclude will show all the categories except for 1 & 2. If you put the same list in the Include option, only 1 & 2 would be shown. I have no idea what happens if you put stuff in both options, so use one or the other.
