I would like to have posts from a certain category be added to a form email and sent to a mail list which visitors can subscribe to. I already have a mailing list, but was looking for the plugin to add posts to a form email. I want something real simple and would send it automatically after I added post.
I looked and saw subscribe2, but I do not know if that is my best option. It looks like subscribe2 has it's own mailing list.

I've been searching for this as well. subscribe2 is great, but it requires the subscriber to be a registered member to receive emails by category.
Anyone have any ideas?

I've been looking awhile too - I think if there were an easy way to add someone as a registered member it might be worth it.
Either this or create multiple feeds on feedburner and get the feedburner by email links to let people subscribe that way?

I'm in dire need of this plug-in.
I need users to be able to subscribe to one or more of three possible categories and receive a monthly e-mail based on their selection.

At this point, I'd be happy if users could enter their e-mail address, hit send, and be subscribed to a monthly newsletter (created automatically, listing the month's posts by title, and possibly category).
No passwords, no registration confirmation emails, just an address and a click away from being subscribed.

i think you can try the plugin: post notification
your subscriber can choose the category they would like to subscribe and receive email notification once the subscribed category has been updated.
You must log in to post.
