How do I limit the amount of tags in the post meta? I regularly add lots of tags to each post, and they sometimes "overflow" the post meta. How can I limit it to only one tag? This way, I can only show one tag for that entry on the main index, but all the tags can be seen if you click on the single entry.

Function_Reference/get_post_custom has an example that you could use to display just one of the returned custom fields.
