• I use third party software to post articles to my blog (Windows live writer, Scribefire, etc) and when the articles make it to WP they have the < > removed from the HTML.

    Ex:
    ‘<p>This is a test of a blog</p>’

    Turns to:
    pThis is a test of a a href=”http://www.mueses.com&#8221; target=”_blank”blog/a/p

When I write the article using WordPress, the formatting is fine.

Anybody have any idea why is this happening

  • I use Qumana and have exactly the same problem with some of my blogs for the last three weeks or so. They are all hosted on one particular server. Blogs that I host on other servers don’t have this problem. The problem seems to be in xmlrpc.php. Posting via the Dahsboard works fine. Any ideas, anyone?

Same problem using Scribefire and the “Blog this” function on Flickr.com.
The < > tags are removed and sometimes the quotation marks around URLs as well. I’m using WordPress 2.9. Does anyone know if this issue is resolved in 2.9.1 (in Beta at the present)?
