[Plugin: XHTML Video Embed] Embedding self-hosted flv does not work (2 posts)

    Hi,

the plug-in works fine with youtube etc.

But the embedding of a self-hosted flv-file does not work.
The path to the video is correct. The installation is (as I can see) correct.

    In Firefox I get:

"If you can see this, then you might need a Flash Player upgrade or you need to install Flash Player if it's missing. Get Flash Player from Adobe."

But I do have the newest Flash-Player installed.

In the newest IE I can see that the "space" (width and height) for the video is correctly loaded but then nothing appears.

    That's the link:

Can you please tell me what the problem is?
I could upload my video on youtube and then embed it, but sometimes I would prefer self-hosting.

Thanks a lot and best regards,
    djub

Hi, and sorry for the delay. The path to your copy of mediaplayer.swf returns a 500 error.

Don't know how to fix this since I don't know your server setup. The xhtml-video-embed directory contains a .htaccess file, but it only turns off the directory listing. This shouldn't break Apache unless you added your own configuration rules.
