I'm having trouble with WP Polls 2.40. I followed the instructions and installed it. It shows up in my admin tools and I made a poll. I added the poll to a post and the questions show up. However, when I vote it says it's loading and keeps loading forever. It's getting stuck.
I get the same results in my theme and the default theme. I checked and <?php wp_head(); ?> is in my header like it should be.
How can I fix this?

I checked out your link. The problem persists. The files are CHMOD 644, there are no .htaccess files in the wp-content or plugins folders, and these CHMOD numbers are on the folders:
wp-content - 745
plugins - 745
wp-polls - 755
tinymce - 745
What should I change to get my polls worksing properly? Thank you for your time.
What is your site URL?
WP-Content, plugins, tinymce should be 755. Folders inside /wp-content/ should be 755

I changed the CHMOD of the folders inside /wp-content/ to 755. I tried the polls again but they still go to "Loading..." forever. I tried it in Firefox 3.0.6 and Internet Explorer 7. Your help with this matter is greatly appreciated. I hope we can find the solution.
Your WordPress settings is: http://www.gearsonline.net/gearsblog/ But your blog is http://blog.gearsonline.net/. It is two different URLs and hence your browser reject the AJAX for security issue.

Oh. That makes sense. So my subdomain is causing trouble. Any idea how most people get around this?

I changed my WordPress address (URL) to match my Blog address (URL) on the General Settings page of the blog admin tools and now things seem to work.

Help would be greatly appreciated.
You are accessing via www.conservativefirefighters.com BUT in your config, your URL you state http://conservativefirefighters.com.
With and without www makes a difference.

Thank you GamerZ. I tried double checking this, I must not be looking in the right place? In my Wordpress settings, it reads http://conservativefirefighters.com, and in Poll Options it reads http://conservativefirefighters.com/pollsarchive.
Where do I find teh location of the www.conservativefirefighters.com?
Hmm, in that case it should work, where is your poll located at?

I had it in the sidebar, but when it wouldn't work (continuously loading), I simply dragged it from the sidebar. I didn't deactive WP-Poll.
I need you to put it there, if not I will not know what happen.

I placed it back in the sidebar of http://www.conservativefirefighters.com
Please DO NOT use www to access your site. That is because your site options is without www. It works fine for me if I access it via http://conservativefirefighters.com/

I am having the constant loading problem with my site as well. check sfschoolfood.org and try the poll in the lead post (about chocolate milk) - especially on a MAC (a few PC users haven't had problems). Some respondents are able to complete the poll but for many, the endless loading starts and the vote is lost.
I've checked permissions, and also to be sure that the WordPress address and Blog address are the same. They are.
Any ideas as to how to solve this?
I am also having no luck setting up two polls within one post.
Thanks!! And I'll disclose that I am a serious novice when it comes to blog admin.
Does it work on the default theme? Because it is impossible for it to work on PC and do not work on Mac.

I had the same "loading forever and ever" bug...
I put the other same security stuff to my htaccess, rewrite conditions... That was the problem for me.
