• Where is the best location in the theme code to please Google Analytics code (Google suggests just before the /body tag, which I cannot find).

    Look for this file on your blog ‘wp-content/themes/inove/templates/end.php’

    This file has the </body> tag. place your google analytics code just before that tag.

    okay, so I’m not a blog expert yet, just got started..when you say “look for this file on your blog” where exactly do you mean? Do you mean in my WP Dashboard, or in the file to the template that is stored on my Hard drive via a text editor?

    i just put it into my footer.php through the WP dashboard appearance editor.

    Not sure if this is right but that is where I found the </body> tag.

    I will let you know in a few days if it works.

    I’m trying to install analytics on my blog as well but to no avail. When I install the tracking code right before the </body> tag within the footer template per the directions and hit update file, the new analytics code that I embedded doesnt save. And then when I go to page source to check out the code it doesnt have any of the analytics code saved. And my google analytics page also confirms that tracking hasnt been set up.
    I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. Can somebody help me?

    I get this error when I try to upgrade the plug in automatically “
    Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 264585 bytes) “. Does anyone know how to fix this?

    Does your folder / file have permissions set to write. Examine these; set to write; save your work; set permissions back as before.

    Please post to say that is / was the problem so others know.

    Have you tried a manual upgrade? There are CODEX & Forum entries about this. Essentially 1-note any code hacks you’ve made 2-deactivate the plugin 3-copy/move the old plugin folders to a safe place (ie. backup) 4-upload the new folder(s) into the correct place 5-sort any hacks 6-activate 7-if it all works, delete the old plugin folder(s)

    Then let everyone know if this worked.
