Help! I upgraded from 2.5.1 to 2.7, and something went wrong. Some of the javascript functions on my page stopped working, the favicon was replaced with the default one that came with the theme and now when I log in, I'm caught in an endless loop, because wp-login redirects to wp-admin, which redirects to wp-login and so on. I can't add anything new or edit the site in any way.

I have a full backup of my site when it was on 2.5.1. If I re-install 2.5.1 into the root directory and the drag over those files, will it resolve the problem?

Otherwise, is it possible to upload an XML backup file larger than 2 megabytes? If so, I could just reinstall Wordpress, reinstall the theme and re-upload the files. The problem is that right now, mine is 14 megabytes. I have 721 posts with tons of photos.

    Help! I'm losing readers!

Assuming you have a database basckup and a backup or your files, you chould be able to DROP all the database files and Import your files via phpMyAdmin. Then delete your WordPress files via FTP (or hosting control panel) then reupload the backup you have of those files.

Again, that's Assuming you have a database basckup and a backup or your files.
