• I just set up Mailpress. Pretty cool. But the widget puts into the subscription box my default site email address. It should be blank or have “your mail” in it. When I click on the default entry, it says “ERROR: sending confirmation failed” and then reverts to “Your mail.”

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Also, I assume all the add ons go in the general mailpress folder rather than the Xtras folder?

    Thanks if you can help.

I noticed that it doesn’t do this on another computer, so maybe it’s just my personal computer and the fact that I am the administrator.

Same here. I believe if your logged in, it’s populating with your email. Try logged out and see if he prepopulates…

I have a two sidebar theme with the MailPress widget located in my right sidebar. I see that the the length of the email address box is too long. It is moving to too far right in the right sidebar.

Would anyone know how I can edit the setting to make the email box more narrow?

    Thanks!

The file to edit the width of the e-mail field is mp-includes/class/MP_User.class.php
    Line #93 v2.01

I’m not keen on editing core files. It would be cool if plugin developers didn’t hard code these values so that we could tweak them via the style sheet rather than editing code.

    Hope that helps!
