[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Roles in NextGen .99.1?

I’m looking at using NextGEN gallery with WordPress MU. I’m at MU 2.6.5 (it hasn’t jumped to 2.7 as of this post) and NextGEN .99.1 (as v1 won’t requires the newer version).

My problem is this: I’d like to be able to assign certain roles other than admin the ability to work with NextGEN gallery. I know this is possible in the v1 release for 2.7, but is there any roles-support in .99.1? If so, where do I find it?

I’ve found the occasional reference to roles in older versions of NextGEN on the web, but I haven’t been able to find any options for that in 2.6.5/.99.1
