• Hi,

I have copied a wordpress 2.6.1 installation for a client which is using NextGEN Gallery 0.99.1. In my local installation on XAMPP everything works fine, but after updating the database on the real server, the zip upload and the picture upload doesn’t work anymore. The upload page is empty after choosing a file for upload and starting the upload process. Normally there is a upload status bar which shows the % of uploading. In this case there is only the wordpress header …

I changed all pathes in the wordpress wp-options table in the database, but maybe there is a path that I didn’t see in another table of wordpress, that shows still the path of my local installation ‘localhost’. This is the only idea I have at the moment … but I didn’t find anything yet.

Does anybody has an idea how to solve this problem or find a hint what could be wrong?

    Regards,
    Sebastian

  • Maybe try switching to the non-flash upload.

See if you can then upload images and see if you then get the upload status bar.

    thank you …
it tooks me some month to come back to this topic

the solution was a plugin that changes automatically the rights of uploaded folders

the problem is specific to the webhoster I am working with and the plugin was written by somebody who had the same problems

    🙂

Can’t you just FTP them to the wp-content uploads folder or directly into the media folder of the NextGenGallery directory?

    This is an interesting question!
I will figure it out, because now I know that it is possible to define the location of the media folder of NGG.

it may take a while …
because presently I am working on another part of that project.
