Please explain some simple steps for installation

Ok so I’m new to this. Im also new to sql.

Ive have uploaded all files.

I have modified the wp-config.php file as well as the install file to fit my site names, passwords, and such.

When I open the install file it is just a blank page.

If someone could please explain some simple steps to get thru this it would be appreciated greatly. Im sure others experiencing this problem as well will benefit from a repsonse. So Please! SOMEONE HELP!!!!!!!!
