   no that's not true.. threaded comments were implemented in v1.2. you can turn it on or off in cp options -> discussion!

   is this a bug?
   i added two new pages as you can see on my blog
   http://pure-essence.net
   but when i go to manage -> pages
   it still displays
   "No pages yet"

   Are you logged in as the same user who created the pages? If you created the pages with a higher level user and then visit Manage->Pages with a lower level user, the pages will not show up since you don't have edit privs.

    no that's not true.. threaded comments were implemented in v1.2. you can turn it on or off in cp options -> discussion! -- That's odd... I'm running 1.2.2 and I see no threaded comments option. As far as I know, the only way was via a plugin or a hack. Now, it's possible that a plugin/hack added to the discussion options page, but it was not a part of the default standard install.

    i think you are right. i forgot the hack altered options page. i thought it was built like that. but someone did tell me
    "this (threaded comments) was planned as part of the WordPress core for 1.2, but I fell behind in development"

    i'm using it to write the instructions of how to add my threaded comments back. sigh...
