   Hi

   I just downloaded 2.7 and i noticed it doesnt come with upgrade, upload or image folders, I'm not sure if that was designed that way or by an accident.

   Anyways im trying to install wordpress for a friend, his server is different to mine, i use local_host or local_html and his is httpdocs, which is new to me.

   So whenever I try to upload an image using the image uploader that came with wordpress i get this error.

   Unable to create directory /var/www/vhosts/essaawaleh.com/httpdocs/batalaale/wp-content/uploads/2009/01. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

   Please help me.

   Hi,

   Please update your domains hosting service provider to grant recursive 755 permissions to the wordpress blog. It should be resolve the issue positively.

   Hi,
   I had the exact same problem and my hosting service guys changed the permissions to 755 but I still can't upload... Any ideas?
