• Hi

    I’ve created a new template and uploaded this to the theme folder.

    I want to use this template for a specific page.

    However, there is no template selection drop down from where I can select this template in the page add/edit page.

    I’ve seen screen grabs of this but my dashboard does not have it.

    Can anyone tell me how I can switch this on? I’ve searched around with no luck.

    Regards

    Stoan

    Does your page template have the correct header code in it? Like it explains here:

    Thanks I got it to work. A hard refresh was needed.

    i have the correct header code also, but i cant see the template selector anyways…

    a file named “filme.php” with exactly the same code like the default page.php instead of the 5 code lines which are needed

    <?php
    /*
    Template Name: Filme
    */
    ?>

    I read in an other post, that they had to reaktivate their theme to see the selector. I did this also and still… no selector in my write/edit page section.

    What can i do?

    EDIT: Two another theme reactivations did it… (???) can see it now

    Hi,
    I am working on the wp 2.8.6 , and i dont see the Template Selection option in may control panel. I have made some templates with the correct code but even so, I can not see it, or activate it.

    Thanks.
    Felipe.
