   wont let me write -> page ... there is no 'page' tab?

   The sequence is
   Write -> Write Page

   What are the submenus of Write?

   the only sub menus i have are under Links and Options

   Do you have the following menus?
   Dashboard - Write - Manage -Links - Presentation - Plugins - Users - Options - Upload - Logout

   If not, you're not on WP1.5

    no Dashboard or presentation, but i have edit & categories

    Then what you have is not WP 1.5. Only this version will allow you to write pages. WP 1.5 is available from download page. Help yourself.

    Are you being serious? If you still want the write pages feature, you have to download WP 1.5. Then just do an upgrade so you won't lose your previous posts.

    I havent started a blog yet is there an easier way? if i dont need to save anything?

    If you have nothing to save, then just delete everything of old WP's files and upload the new one. Set up the wp-config.php and empty the WP's database again, because the current one is already filled with tables.
