wp-o-matic duplicate posts

I’m using version 2.7 and have integrated wp-o-matic to retrieve RSS feed updates to my blog. I’m getting duplicate posts, duplicate Title, pointing to the same post.

I have researched this and found some quick fixes like replacing “$suffix = 2;” with “return 0;” on post.php but that took care of adding the -2 extension on duplicate titles but still posted the same titles twice without the -2 extension but were two different post #s pointing to the same link.
