   I love Monotone theme, and tried to make it a little bit warmer. You can see the results @ http://www.cuorhome.net/heart-images/
   I'd like to see it tested and hear comments - on the css/markup/plugins use etc., not the layout if possible (this one may be terrible, but I like it).

   Try this: in the file style.css, around line 40 you should read
   body{font:normal 75%/1.6em "Lucida Sans","Lucida Grande","Trebuchet MS",Georgia,Helvetica,sans-serif;color:#444;background-color:white;}
   Just change background-color:white; to background-color:black; and it should be ok.

   I developed my own version of Monotone theme, it's called Heartspotting. Give it a try by downloading it here, and let me know if you like it.

   BTW: looks like you messed up with the title of the page too... check out that one as well!
