Amazon Features in Sidebar Widgets - stretches widget to the length of the page (4 posts)

I'm using Amazon Favorites in a sidebar widget, and I'm running into an odd problem.

In IE7 the Amazon feature box is fine, but viewed in Firefox and Safari, the Amazon feature box stretches downward as far as the page content allows. The 8 products appear at the top of the Amazon box, and there's empty space until the bottom of the page. I have a few other widgets below the Amazon box, and they rest at the bottom of the sidebar "holding up" the bottom of the Amazon box.

If I click on a short post's permalink, the sidebar looks fine, but that's only because it's longer that the post.

Why would the content length affect an Amazon block? Is there some kind of tag or css markup I could use to "overide" what's going on here? Apparently this isn't an Amazon problem but something in WP. (Seems odd that IE is fine and everyone else is not working, isn't it supposed to be the other way around?)

I'm wondering if the style sheet for widgets is affecting this. I looked at the actual page source code and it uses a div class of "textwidget". But I can't find where that css is found in the WP files. It's not in the style.css, so where is it?

Or am I asking the wrong question?
