I know that you'll probably say - dummy, it is alpha/beta, etc. and you shouldn't use it for a production site ... however, is seems to be more and more popular ... also the stability seems to be 'getting there' - so to speak.
So, my question is -- a guess please -- how far is 1.5 from being what the group consideres 'stable'?
We want to launch a new blog and use 1.5, but don't want to regret that decision. Sure, we have 1.2, but 1.5 is just so cool.

its ok to do that and I have 2 of my blogs running 1.5 with no issues.
My Spider Sense tells me that WP v1.5 will be released very soon.

Wait a few minutes....the CVS just went to 1.5!!!!
I subscribe to the CVS mailing list and Matt just changed the version number to 1.5 not 2 minutes ago. I expect a formal announcement will be coming in a few minutes...

1.5 release, feb 15th and also the birthday of Harold Arlen (composer of the songs in Wizard of Oz).
They mentioned in the NuclearMoose interview something about a legendary Jazz person. So thats it I'm assuming.
Didnt see his name mentioned anywhere so i wanted to contribute to the mystery =)

Matt gave me a copy of the first build to test out and I upgraded my site flawlessly from some 1.3-alpha code.
1.5 is SWEET!!!! I can't wait to tackle it with a new design and plugin upgrades.

Hi I have nearly 200 different blogs with wordpress 1.2.In upgrade instructions for 1.5 I see that I must run wp-admin/upgrade.php for all blogs, and I even do not know admin paword for these blogs.
Please tell me how can I upgrade all my blogs to wordpress 1.5.

You do not need to know the pw to run upgrade.
