I installed the 2.3.3 upgrade and now ALL the data that I had before is gone. Nothing is saved and now it's like I'm back to square one. Please help.

An upgrade doesn't wipe your database. Check MySql and see if the tables are blank or if they have data.

hallsofmontezuma, thank you so much for your reply. I guess I should have stated I am a total computer idiot, which is why I use wordpress to do my blog. Easy to use right? I do not know MySql is so I will have to look that up. I use dreamhost as my server and they are connected to dreamhost somehow and I used a one click "update" but what I ended up with on the wordpress end was a "new" blog. I want my old one back along with the 150 hours worth of input data. 2.3.1 was working fine I just updated to 2.3.3 because that is what wordpress was prompting me to do. Please help, it's almost as bad as losing my dog. thanx

Argh. Never do that. Never use automated installers. Never use automated updaters. They cause more problems than they solve. Do it yourself. It's not only easier, you learn how your site actually works in the process. And then we don't have to support somebody else's broken stuff.

I don't know dreamhost, but see if they have some way in the control panels to access "phpMyAdmin" or "databases" or some such thing.

Failing all else, tell dreamhost to help you. Their stuff broke your site, after all.

If your database and its data still exists, then it should just be a matter of editing your wp-config file to point to them. But if your database is gone, and you had no backup, and dreamhost can't restore it... then you're screwed. Sorry.
