Issues when posting

    While posting i get a pop up every minute or two that says

    Confirm?

    Are you sure you want to navigate away from this page?
    The changes you made will be lost if you navigate away from this page.
    Press OK to continue, or Cancel to stay on the current page.

    If i click cancel it pops straight back up, if i click cancel a second time it will go away for a few minutes. If i click ok i get a blank page. Its more annoying than anything and would like to know how to stop it.

    My other issue is when i click save draft or publish, both seem to pull this error

    Your attempt to edit this post: “Example” has failed.

    Please try again.

    But after this error i can go back in and edit the autosaved post and it will then save and publish fine. Very annoying…

    Any help would be welcome. Im new to wordpress btw.

    Ok so i’ve found a solution. I think the issues lie with the autosave. Both were fixed by removing the autosave function in wp-admin/post-new.php by commenting it out:

    //wp_enqueue_script(‘autosave’);

    Seems to work fine now. If anyone knows why, an explanation would be welcome.
