scripts (like ebay aff banners) not working in template…

    Hello all, I recently upgraded to the new version, at http://dillydesigns.com I am using the Simplicity 1.0 paid template from http://www.solostream.com/.

    The problem I am having is any banners that use a script, such as ebay banners, amazon banners, etc. Are not showing up at all. In firefox there is nothing at all, in i.e. there is a blank spot where it should be ( see the far right column in i.e between the two banners there now )

    I have tried in the widgets as well as just in the sidebar, and on several sites scripts (ebay/amazon/etc) The ebay one in the header is html based, the optimized script one would not work.

    Could this be something in the theme or in the update? I was able to successfully get the feed flares to work from feedburner and that is a script…. (((edit, I tried to paste in one of the banners I have had problems with into the ‘index’ file to see if it was a header/sidebar issue and had the same results- bug blank are in IE and nothing in firefox.))) code in question below, to see what kind of code I am having issues with…

    another one giving me problems is amazons banner-

    anyone have any idea what I need to do to get these to work? Let me know if I need to send any files or anything. (use dreamweaver, I know my way around a little in htmp and php- enough to follow directions! LOL)

    I wish I could help, but I wanted to post saying I am having exactly the same problem across all my blogs, whether on wordpress.com or on my privately hosted sites. I’m pretty sure it’s a new update issue as I’ve never, ever had that issue before.

    Excuse me if I pile on here! I have a problem with ebay widget not registering with eaby when someone clicks? The tool validator says that my campid is missing in the param tag and the embed tag but if I do an inspect they are there?

    I was having a similar problem and found a solution.

    When you paste in the HTML code, do NOT hit the Visual tab before you publish it. If you do that, WordPress will “correct” your code and chances are it won’t appear properly.

    If you paste into HTML and then Save or Publish, you should see it working properly.
