I started by loading a blog onto wordpress.com using the theme "black letterhead".. it allowed me to upload a title bar that I built in photoshop. Now in Wordpress.org.. I have loade the same theme.. but under the appearances panel..there is no control for uploading a jpg. as my title. There are only controls under my general panel to change the text... which looks soooo boring.
Does anyone know how I can literally transfer my exact same site that I have on Wordpress.com over to Wordpress.org??

What do you mean "over to Wordpress.org" ??
Wordpress.org, to my knowledge, doesn't host blogs. Only Wordpress.com

Posted 10 months ago #Wordpress.org hosts blogs that are tied in with an FTP account... in other words.. my site no longer needs the wordpress.com attachment within it's address. It is just http://www.mysite.com

wordpress.org does NOT HOST BLOGS.
you are merely using software that originates from this site -- nothing else, nothing more.
and the answer to your original question is no. theme files cant be downloaded from wordpress.com
