I've just moved my domain to bluehost, and I've installed Wordpress, but I can't get to my admin page because the DNS doesn't resolve yet.
They say you can set up a temporary URL for your blog and log in, but the example they give is not clear as to what IP address I'm supposed to set as my temporary URL.
Has anyone out there done this before? I'd really like to get working on my blog, and not have to wait another 72 hours. It's been a real pain with my old host, so I want to get going.
Thanks,
Jennifer
How about Installing WordPress on your own Computer then you will always have a test-bed to try things.
Your temporary address is a combination of your IP address and your username. Bluehost can give you your temporary address or, if you look in the cPanel on the left side, there is an area which shows you your username and also your shared IP address. The temporary IP will be a combination of both as in the following example: http://255.255.255.255/~username.
