   I've read other posts and turned off the Nextgen plugin and emptied the cache file. Still no buttons are showing up after I drag and drop them in the settings menu. Any suggestions?

   I am having the same issue. I get the option to set the buttons I want, but it will not show up in the writing panel.

   Perhaps reset the options by clicking the "Uninstall" button at the bottom of the plugin's admin page.
